Shangri-La Springs

“ Shangri-La Springs holds a special place in my heart. I suppose it's because it's a place that has a few nicks and bumps that only time and experience can leave. Like a well-worn family table, it's a spot that has hosted untold numbers of people throughout the years, each individual person enjoying the peaceful nature of this river retreat. Just walking around the grounds and sitting by the water reminds me of what a gift Bonita Springs is.

But Shangri-La isn't just about taking a moment to be. It also hosts Harvest & Wisdom, an organic breakfast and lunch spot with delicious eats. I usually get a smoothie and am always torn between trying something new on the menu or going with the old reliable: their deliciously filling, generously sized quiches. You pretty much can't go wrong as every dish is designed with nourishment in mind.

When driving, cycling, or walking through downtown Bonita Springs, stop and grab a bite, then take a walk around the property. Your stomach and soul will thank you. Oh, and you may spot a rather grand fig tree (FL's 3rd largest) along with a few Florida creatures. ”
