Three giants of the Romantic era — Frédéric Chopin, Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms — come together in this expansive program, bridging luminous intimacy and monumental scale. From Chopin’s refined nocturnes and mazurkas to Schumann’s tender, introspective lyricism and Brahms’ bold early sonata, the program offers a wide-ranging portrait of Romantic expression. Pianist Kate Liu has garnered international recognition, notably winning Third Prize at the 17th International Fryderyk Chopin Competition in Warsaw, Poland, where she also received the Best Mazurka Prize and the Audience Favorite Prize.
