Experience a night tour at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary.

Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is an Important Bird Area, part of the Atlantic Flyway for bird migration, is the regional gateway site for the Great Florida Birding Trail, and is a Ramsar designated Wetland of International Importance. Enjoy a night in the swamp on this Audubon Naturalist guided walk which brings you into the swamp when the nocturnal animals are out and vocal, and on a clear night the night sky is especially nice here. You never know what you will hear or see on a visit to Corkscrew Sanctuary but a night visit should bring the sounds of calling insects, possibly owls and alligators and most likely a surprise or two! Come in the spring to see the fireflies, and in summer and you may get to see our bioluminescent mushrooms! You will also learn about the nocturnal biodiversity of the swamp and adaptations that enable nocturnal wildlife to thrive. Your naturalist will meet you in our visitor center fifteen minutes prior to the program start time. We will be walking about 2 miles along our boardwalk during this program. Night Walks are about 2.25 hours in length.
