A 5K run/walk on Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota to raise scholarship funds for local high school students.
The 14th Annual Andrew Monroe Memorial Scholarship 5K Run/Walk takes place on the #1 Rated Siesta Key Beach in beautiful Sarasota, Florida. The event provides scholarships for further education to Riverview High School Senior Soccer players, JROTC Cadets and Track Athletes. The event includes pre-race Starbucks coffee with a color guard and national anthem opening, door prizes, age-group awards, and goodie bags for the first 350 registrants. Participants are encouraged to bring canned food for Mayor's Feed the Hungry and old shoes/clothing for Resurrection House.
